There are no pics for yesterday as I spent the day in bed sleeping, after a night up with a nasty stomach bug, yuck!!!!!! Anyway feeling much better today and as it is pouring with rain I can't work anyway. I gather it was like this all yesterday as well so no wonder we have a swimming pool instead of a backdoor.

Another good day, coffee out with a friend who also bought me lily bulbs for my birthday, tea out as well and a lovely bunch of flowers for my table.

Another year older today.... I have decided it is time to start going backwards on the numbers, it may slow down the body wearing out. Anyway I was very spoilt by my family, I was give a Pandora bracelet with an aeroplane from Perth, an owl from Auckland, a family tree from Mosgiel and a flower with my birth stone from hubby. Nibbles for Friday tea finished the day perfectly.

The yellow crocus's seem to clump up better or else they are not in the path of my trowel when weeding!

Catch up time. The crocus's in the rockery are also looking super. I love the markings on this one.

My clumps of snowdrops are in full flower and looking stunning. It is amazing how many different ones there are, but they are very subtle marking differences in most cases, so not easy to spot from a distance.

I have enjoyed watching the birds drinking their sugar syrup this year,. These guys are the bottom of the pecking order, with the bellbirds next and the tui's at the top.

I bought this Iris, Iris danfordiae,  last year at the farmers market, so I was pleased to see it appear and flower.

I am a little worried about how many "things" I have around my garden. This is from an old piece of farm machinery, with stones and shells collected  during the time I did a lot of  floral art. I guess I would be more worried if it was garden gnomes!!

I have been out playing with my new camera, and found how different all the rhodo buds look.

This is a camellia from my garden. It is covered in flowers this year after a major prune of the surrounding shrubs.
