I really like silver foliage and try to grow different types and textures in my white garden. I think this is one of the senico family, but like alot of my plants it came as a piece from a friend.

I don't usually like Autumn crocus's, but these double ones in a clients garden looked rather stunning.

50/22
At one of todays gardening jobs, I noticed this lichen growing on the trunk of a large sliver birch. I think the patterns are amazing with the bark and the lichen.

The clumps of perennial Nemesia that I have had for a year or two have flowered really well this year. I don't remember which names are which, but hope the newest one I bought will clump up well as it is quite a nice deep purple.
48/20
Behind again... not because I haven't taken the photos, but taking time to come to the computer has been the problem. My Tibouchina has had some nice late flowers, but the cool mornings are going to take their toll shortly

Saturday was spent cutting and stacking firewood for next winter. I loaded most of this and stacked it by my self, so quite pleased with the effort.

An interesting plant I aquired many years ago on a garden tour, it has a built in survival mode with its seed pods. When the pods are ripe they explode and travel a long way. Hence I am still trying to get rid of it.

While walking around my garden, I started to notice how many garden creatures I have. I will have to watch I don't end up a gnome or two!

A fine day today, but I got engrossed in work and forgot photography until tooooo late. I did finish the grandchild to be's cot quilt. Bumper pads and sheets next.

A view of part of my white garden. The toparies are Myrtus luma, they need clipped more often than Buxus but are also more tolerant of my poor clipping and much easier to fix, as they grow back faster.

Now for today, a very pretty perenial sweet pea, exact name unknown as I grew a mixed packet of seed many years ago. This white one and the common bright pink one are all I have left.

Late again, once I got yesterdays photos to the computer I discovered how terrible they were. By them it was late and dark, so.... this is yesterday. A selection of late rose blooms, names unknown.

A bit slack with the photo today, but I have decided the ornamental coloured Kale is very good value in the flower garden at this (autumnish) time of year.

My Alstromeria psittacina has quite a few flowers on it, but is is a pity its not out a Christmas as it would go well in the colour schemes at the festive season.

A day out in the car today. The Best of British car run to Macraes, picnic lunch, then coffee in Middlemarch on the way home. Very nice.

Just had a lovely meal out with friends and it was mentioned I hadn't posted a pic today. I did finish covering the baskets for the expected grandchild's change table. It took some time with a hot glue gun that has a mind of its own, and not being able to remember where the spare glue sticks and safely stored!

This clump of Echinacea has flowered really well this season, but I have seen the new orange one (called Tomato something or something tomato) and I may have to buy it!

While pulling the bedroom curtains this morning I noticed a cluster of late Clematis Barbara Jackman flowering among the potato vine (Solanum jasminoides ) As they are on top of the arch there is no way of seeing them from ground level.

Finally got a picture of my waterlily flower, but then found all the bugs show up in the photo. Bother!!!!

Today I found my Oriental poppy (Papaver orientale) having a second flowering. I grew them from a packet of seed that was supposed to be mixed colours, but mine were orange, orange, and.....orange. They are still very pretty flowers and its a bonus having them this late.

- Yes, I am late again. I do share my computer these days. The Tractor seat ligularia.... Ligularia reniformis, a fantastic foliage plant but it doesn't keep when picked unfortunately.
