Home Sweet Home, via Central Otago. A good frost in Fox this morning, but I didn't persuade the driver to stop for photo, so a view of the coast past Bruce Bay instead.

A busy Friday, helping my daughter and son-in-law with their first outing at a farmers type market in Mosgiel. This is a selection of the yummy cupcakes they had for sale. It was a successful outing considering the poor weather. Many thanks to the unpaid helper!!!!

Autumn has arrived in the garden as you can see by the colour of this maple, a lovely low grafted Acer viridis, which has turned a stunning orange/red.

A very busy night in Dunedin rugby, rally and fashion!!! Me I was rally watching until I got distracted by lights, trees and any thing without an engine.....

Rained today, but managed to get to one of my jobs, so pic is a cheat from my spares. The potato vine, Solanum jasmonoides has been prolific this year.
65/6
The other plant I find good value at this time of year is the penstemon family. I have several different colour combo's but always accept offers of new ones as they are easy to squeeze into a gap.
64/5
This tall growing Alstromeria that I've had for years is one of the most useful colours as it goes with so many things when picked. Not sure of its name unfortunately.

A close up of the escallonia, my camera doesn't manage the wildlife close enough unfortunately, but my son-in-laws does.
63/4
Cheating again, I was beaten by the rain yesterday. This is Escallonia montevidensis and is a great attraction for bee's and butterflies and was photographed last week in the sunshine.

Tried to take photos of the other birds in my garden (other than owls) but the sun was in the wrong place for most of them.

Very excited about my present today, someone else's junk is often my treasure. My only problem now is, am I going to be able to make something myself or will I need a .... hand???
